I stayed in the Philippines for a couple of months earlier this year.  It was a blast! What can I say? 

They have the most selection of food I have ever seen. The variety is awesome and would leave anyone speechless. Every oppoortunity to eat is taken in with so much passion and excitement that the common question asked when you are visiting is " Have you eaten" or " You want to eat" or something to that flavor.

One can eat anywhere from the malls, the streets, the homes, there is just so much food I do not know what to say as I am your street corner hotdog kind of guy. A cart with wierd looking animal parts just is beyond me and my imagination. Never have I thought things like that cold be eaten.

Never the less you know what they say about the fastest way to a mans heart... its true!  My stomach has had the better of me and I am in love!  I find myself missing Manila and its lovely people, specially "She". I looked around for the best thing to describe my feeling and found Filipino Friendship Quotes that express just what I feel.

I hope someday I can go back and see those wonderful streets once more and enjoy the life of a king, with you as my queen!

Kudos Philippines!  I will be back!

Why they called themselves The Beatles

Okay here I am this morning as promised, I said I'd write about the first thing on my mind.  I woke up this morning singing a Beatles tune  "Here There and Everywhere", and if you don't know that song, well you can check it out here Beatles chords and lyrics, as I'd think you're too young, don't know your music or just plain ignorant.

So, there I was humming this Beatles tune I couldn't get off my head.... in fact I'm still humming and singing "Here there and everywhere" until now, right this minute. Oh yeah where was I... I was humming and singing the song you see, and It suddenly dawned on to me....  Why did John, Paul, George and Ringo, decide to call themselves the Beatles?

I don't remember ever having read anywhere the reason why.  Or, I might have been too young then to have even cared.  But, right now I am curious and I want to know.  I wonder...?

I just woke up and the first thing I came across was a link to Insane Journal.  So what the heck I told myself,  I'll make myself a journal right now and document everything I do every morning.... well, not everything... at least those things I feel like writing about.

This is my first day in the world of Journal's so I would like to welcome myself formally.
